Possessive Pronouns: מײַן/מײַנע – דײַן/דײַנע
Here are some example sentences using מײַן/מײַנע and דײַן/דײַנע:

Silent Alef – שטומער אַלף – א
The shtumer alef (א) sometimes precedes the letters ו or י, or combinations of the two. In this case, these letters are pronounced as a vowel. For example:
און un
איך ikh
אױג oyg
אײנס eyns
אײַזקרעם ayzkrem
When a word does actually begin with װ or י, it's because these letters are pronounced as consonants. For example:
װען ven
װוּ vu
יאָ yo
ייִנגל yingl
